Peace flags

Take it easy on these petals, they’re still quite delicate
The rebels marched on and paid no mind to what was in their way
But I know the bees will come through, and carry away a piece of your soul
You’ll come back to life, in a better place, if you let this one go

Now I shall cremate your petals, your stamen, stalk and leaves
Then send your ashes racing with the mountain breeze
Yes, you could float over war and watch those men fall
As the rebels turn to rubble, flowers sprout from their flesh

Take it easy on those petals, they’re still quite delicate, made for lovers not the fighters but they sure will make for awesome peace flags
