Dancing for rain

I must say that half the time your heart is the thing that confines you
And the other half those metal bars morph into wings
That take you soaring through clouds of euphoria
Beating the drums to entangle desire at frequencies guaranteed to move mountains

There you stand; head, shoulders, knees and toes
Dancing for the rain to come
For the ground below our feet to turn to mud
Till the moisture soaks our stomping bones

You see I strung a dark cloud to a string and I’m coming your way
If your heart is cold enough maybe it’ll puff out some snow
Surely that’s a treat you cannot deny
Surely this will soothe your droughting mind
