Day after day

The sun knocks at the horizon
The alarm clock ruffles at our eyelids
Water bounces off our skin
Only to be caressed by patches of fabric

All to make a living
All to make a living
Just to survive the times
Or to make life worthwhile

Then join the chatter as it winds
As we enter boxes on squiggly lines
That take us from one box to the next
Then back again as the sun decides to rest

All to make a living
All to make a living
To fulfil our inner most desire
Or those of the ones we sire

  1. Brutally honest! I enjoyed reading each line. Brilliantly written. Have a look at my page as well , for I would be honoured to hear the views of such a wonderful blogger. Cheers!
