Have some juice

I sat there, holding my head

Neurons sparking in a sporadic frenzy

Heart knocking on my ribs with urgency

And a whirlpool brewing in my belly
A rough steady hand alights on my shoulder

Teeth crooked, eyes still and bloodshot red

Matched with a wrinkled smile and composure

He said… “have some juice, it’ll help”
So I did…

And it did.
