Vertical Panorama

I was practising making vertical panoramas manually so I took 3 close up pictures of this building for stitching (pictures in the slideshow at the bottom). I know I could have stepped back to take this picture but it the resolution wouldn’t have been as good. I could also have used a different lens but I don’t have a suitable one so here we are. The first challenge was making sure that all the pictures I used matched in terms of exposure, brightness, contrast etc. This was almost impossible to achieve because of the position of the sun. I had to make all the adjustments on Photoshop to even things out. The first image I created seemed quite skew so I went with simplicity and decided to use just 2 images. From the final image below, this seemed to have worked a lot better :).  I know it’s quite narrow but that’s the best I could get with what I was working with.

C building

A couple of weeks back I was at the back of this building, looked up and I saw this view that I wanted to capture as best as I could so I hit the shutter a couple of times with different angles and so on.

Image
I quite like this one because the fact that the walls aren’t aligned with the edges of the picture somehow enhances the beauty of the shot (at least to me)

Image
This was one of the first shots I took, I focused on trying to get as much of the building as I could

Image
There were clothing lines present in the area which I wanted to capture with the shot so I had to go lower to get this shot

Image
This was the only shot I didn’t do in black and white, simply because I didn’t like the way it came out
